Personality: For the most part, Badou is an egregious and easygoing fellow; he infiltrates both social spheres and personal spaces with relative ease--being just shrill enough to be annoying but also too clever to be ignored. He is naturally inquisitive, which he has learned to temper in the interest of survival, and a glib talker (whether he is a smooth liar is another matter entirely).

Being the youngest of four quadruplet brothers has spoiled him rotten--he's shameless in his pursuit of money, nicotine and, as he calls it, a "hardboiled life". Badou is an unbridled brat; his whimsies are so at odds with priority at times that he will trade the death of his enemies for a cigarette. He can be a complete paradox of worldly and naive, knowledgeable of the darker side of life but managing to (usually) subordinate it to his own interests.

He's a coward of the first degree unless deprived of cigarettes--then, depending on the situation and degree of withdrawal, Badou goes more or less psychopathic, and woe betide the person or object that gets in his way.

He can be strangely pensive or cynical at moments, even melancholy, but these are mere instances, and the exception to Badou's usual moods. He also has a certain odd and outspoken appreciation for teamwork; perfers to have someone reliable at his back, probably due to the shady nature of his work and the structure of his family life, as such.

Background: Badou was every inch the bratty little brother, growing up under his rather violent quadruplet siblings; Renji liked to drag him into fights or beat up on him every now and then, Aya liked to scold him to within an inch of his life, and Axel had a habit of setting random things (and people) on fire--although he also had the best sense of fun out of the lot, so he and Badou would frequently dash away on escapades that prompted Aya to lecture even more.

However, he was essentially the pampered littlest one, doted on by his mother, Giselle, and watched over in various ways by all of his brothers--the absence of father in the house seemed to bring the small family closer together to fill the void where that presence should have been. Badou never felt the lack, anyway, until his mother was taken advantage of by a nobleman--as young as the boys were, half of them barely understood what was happening, and by the time they did it was too late. The ensuing revenge was exacted through their combined skills (that is to say, it was rather clumsy and ingenious all at the same time), and they were obliged to flee and continue running.

During the wandering years, Badou took on a number of odd jobs, which he eventually collected into one tall tale in the interest of styling himself a 'private investigator'--he much preferred work that didn't imply violence, and his quickness with hands and feet and deceit earned him much in the way of highly-sought information. Working the black market and its shady counterparts was profitable but dangerous work; Badou sometimes cut contact with his brothers in some more implicated cases. He is still relatively close-mouthed on the subject of his eyepatch and certain scars, carries around a pair of Ingrams wherever he goes and smokes like a pinecone on fire, and is quite secretive about his dealings with his boss and his occasional partner.

When Haruko found them, Badou had already made plans to go to Molodiouf for a sojourn in order to complete a bit of recon on the markets there--making the stay more permanent was a nice surprise, since he loves drinking and gambling just as much as any of the more sleazy side of the family.


Likes: Cigarettes, kicking back, the good life with good company, cigarettes, couch potatohood, booze, ladies, cigarettes, a good power-packin' set of guns, money, and have we mentioned cigarettes? Isn't averse to a good cigar or two every once in a while, either.
Dislikes: Having to get off his ass to fight, getting pwned by inanimate objects and unpredictable architecture when he's trying to run away over/under/through it, having to get off his ass to run away, having to get off his ass for any reason, his job(s), being nicotine-deprived, running out of bullets, screwing up a mission, being deprived of booze, being deprived of sex, being deprived of the creature comforts, getting beat up, eating leftovers, paying too much money for crap, tightasses (like his brother Aya, but that doesn't actually count as a dislike)


Additional information: ALSO ONE OF THE MASSIVE REDHEAD CLAN. :D Badou has no magical powers at all, but he can run away very fast and very thoroughly, and shoot the hell out of everything when he gets in the right mood. His preferred weapon is a pair of Ingram M10 submachine guns. ♥
